Bollywood actress Preity Zinta played the role of a perfect cheerleader for dear friend Salman Khan whose 'Being Human' show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here late Tuesday saw many celebrities strutting down the ramp.

Dressed in a 'Being Human' sleeveless T-shirt and sporting a new look with fringes falling perfectly on her forehead, the actress looked as ravishing as ever.

Sitting with her friend choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan and fashion designer Manish Malhotra, the actress started shouting from the very first moment when Salman Khan started the show and sashayed down the ramp.

'Wow! Salman! Salman!,' shouted Zinta and continued clapping till he left the ramp.

It was not just for Salman, she also cheered for other celebrities like Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan with equal enthusiasm.

Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra joined her and together left no stone unturned to pep up the atmosphere.

'I must tell you that my throat is already gone. I was so happy that all this shouting and cheering just happened. The show was all about being human and being together. It celebrated togetherness of the industry and this is what had me do all the shouting. But it is worth it,' Preity told IANS after the show.

Commenting on Aamir Khan's ramp debut, she said that the actor looked cute.

'I think he was looking very cute on the ramp. He is already so charming and you can't take that away from him,' she said.

Every body who comes on 10 Ka Dum makes it a point to ask Salman Khan only one thing: When does he plan to get married? If that fails to get a response then they try to veer the conversation to Katrina Kaif. So when Shenaz Treasurywala and Sonal Sehgal (cast of Radio) pinned him down to name his favorite heroine he took his own time before answering.

While the audience waited to hear her name with bated breath, Salman grinned and said “Preity Zinta. I love her bluntness, her jovial nature, her positive thinking. I like her happy personality.” Preity Zinta would be happy to know that and Katrina would not mind it all.

Preity Zinta has not charged a single penny from the Khan’s for the brief appearance she makes in Sohail Khan Productions Main Aur Mrs. Khanna.

A source said, “Preity and Salman have been good friends. The two have done some of the most remarkable films together. Chori Chori Chupke Chupke was hit. Jaaneman was a hit too.”

Preity feels that Salman is man with a heart of gold.

“Salman has stood by Preity whenever she needed him. So this time when they? approached Preity to do a brief appearance in Main Aur Mrs. Khanna, Preity said yes instantly. Preity let money matters take a back seat and said that she was just happy being a part of that film,” said the source.

Sources close to us said that "Preity was specially made to travel to Dubai for a single day to shoot for the song called 'Happening'. Also that the 'happening' song in question is indeed a delight to watch and is bound to have everyone's foot tapping." The source also added that the production team had to spend a fortune on that single day outdoor shoot for Preity as the film's director Prem Soni required a huge open air theater for the song which they managed to get in Dubai. The same source went onto add that "When Preity and director Prem Soni were brainstorming about the name of the choreographer who could do apt justice to this song, the only name that kept popping in their head was that was of Farah Khan. Not just that,with Farah Khan coming on board, both Prem Soni and Preity were just too happy!

A unit member from the same film informed us that, "Preity had a ten day rehearsal with Farah khan before she started shooting the song and everyday she would rehearse for a whopping 3 hours! She also was on a special diet and hardcore workout and yoga and swimming sessions, with just one basic motive: to be in shape for the song!"

All that we can do is to pat Preity on her back for exhibiting such dedication. Preity…one only hopes that all this dedication and hard work of yours pays you and the film rich dividends. Considering that the visuals of the song bear a striking similarity to the smash-hit 'Kajraare', we also hope that this song goes on to become as big a hit as the Bunty aur Babli number, if not more. We are sure that Preity will agree with us on this one!

In a first of sorts, B-Town stars will feature on dance reality show, Dance Premier League - for free!
Five teams from the North, East, West, South and Central zones of India and one NRI team will compete. One star will represent each zone. A source confirms the development and reveals why the stars are joining the show for free, "Mostly to promote their future films - like Salman is coming for Main Aur Mrs Khanna. Akshay Kumar is keen to represent a zone to promote his upcoming film Blue. Talks are still on."

Danish Khan, VP Market-ing, Sony confirms, "There is no financial deal involved with the stars. It's our relationship with them and we provide the benefits for promoting their films." The Morani brothers of Cineyug are producing DPL. The show airs from October this year.


Salman Khan: He will root for the North DPL team alongwith Kapil Dev. The actor will travel to Delhi on September 9 for the final selection of the North team

Kareena Kapoor: Will represent the West Zone

Bipasha Basu: She will be the face of the East Zone will be represented by Bipasha Basu.

Arshad Warsi: He will cheer for the south.

Preity Zinta: The Bollywood stars for the Central and NRI Zones haven't yet been finalised. Preity Zinta is in talks for the Central Zone. It all depends on the dates of the stars and the dates of the zonal shows.

Katrina Kaif: had been approached for the NRI Zone but now she's not doing it. There are talks of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol also representing the NRI Zone to promote their film My Name Is Khan as the film is based around NRIs.
