As the curtain drops, the annual grand event 55th Filmfare Awards will come to live with some of the dazzling performances from hot numbers of Bollywood by noted personalities of B-town. It is heard that the 'Wanted’ superb hunk of Bollywood Salman Khan is gonna set the floor ablaze with his rocking performances from his hot numbers.

Other personalities like Riteish Deshmukh will lit the event with gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandes on the stage for the first time. While according to the choreographer-director Ganesh Hegde the sexy siren of Bolywood Kareena Kapoor has got some hotstuff to rock the show.

It is heard that leggy lass of Bollywood Deepika Padukone will drool the audience with favorite numbers from ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’.

While ‘Chance Pe Dance’ hunk Shahid Kapoor will give his breath taking number in obeisance to international star Michael Jackson, the excited actor stated, “I’m dancing to This Is It.”

It is not only Salman who is set to rock the night but even his beloved friend Katrina Kaif is to appear with her sizzling numbers. It will be nice to see them on stage alive rocking with the audiences. The macho will be dancing to the hit numbers like ‘Kabootar Jaa, Jaa, Jaa’ from ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ to ‘Love Me, Love Me’ from ‘Wanted’.

People already in the fever of the grand night are expected to be enthralled with the heartrending performance from the celebrity performers.

Despite the failure of Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna at the box office, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been roped in as the new brand ambassadors for a jewellery brand. They recently shot for a TVC campaign for the brand at Mehboob Studio, Mumbai.

Expect fireworks as the star duo will be seen celebrating several occasions in the commercial, including Christmas and New Year.

Based on the theme of 'Special Togetherness', the brand celebrates relationships between a couple, particularly those that are special and based on long lasting commitments. Hence Salman and Kareena.

We are amused, despite the fact that Kareena and Saif Ali Khan have worked together in quite a few commercials, the special jodi as it were, has to be Salman and Kareena!

So far we’ve only heard horror stories of Salman’s misbehaviour with his leading and misleading ladies.

But Kareena Kapoor has a different story to tell. Says Kareena, "Salman has always been very protective. He has been there for me whenever I needed him. That’s partly to do with the fact that my sister Karisma is very close friends with Salman and also his favourite co-star." Every time Kareena shoots with Salman she feels super-protected and safe. Just how caring a co-star this Khan can be was proven to Kareena recently when they were shooting a romantic song on the Phi Phi Beach in Thailand for his home production Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

This was the same location where Danny Boyle had shot The Beach with Leonardo di Caprio. The beach, as anyone who’s been there, is no sandy but pebbled. And Kareena had to go barefeet into the water with Salman. But before she could reach even half-way she cut her foot in a sharp pebble rather badly. Says a source, “Kareena doubled up in pain and almost fell to the ground. Salman reflexively reached for her and swooped her into his arms. And he carried her to the water.” The shot has been retained in the film, although it was never meant to be part of the film.

Says the director Prem Soni, “Throughout the shooting you could see the special bonding that they had. But that day on the Phi Phi island it got really special. We came much further into the land from the sea than we imagined.When it was time to go back we realized we had to walk through the pebbled beach and wade into almost head-deep water before reaching our boat. We had to do it.

Otherwise we’d have to spend the night on the beach without food or water. Kareena was in this long gown and barefoot. She was in pain. Before we knew it he swooped her into his arms and carried her into a boat. It was a very romantic-looking moment and we couldn’t let it go.”

There is already a lot of buzz surrounding UTV and Sohail Khan Production’s Main Aurr Mrs Khanna. The movie is said to have been shot extensively in Australia. A source said that, “The production team wanted to shoot in one of Australia’s leading hotel Realto and that too in the 125th floor. Usually the Australian government doesn’t allow such film shootings to take place in the hotel, but when they found out that it was none other than Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor who were going to shoot there they readily agreed for the same.”

“Salman and Kareena have a huge fan following down under. There were huge crowds gathered at the shoot locations, so much so, that sometimes they required added security to control the crowds,” added another source.

A unit member said, “The view from the 125th floor was breathtaking and overlooked nearly the whole of Melbourne. Most of the romantic scenes between Salman and Kareena have been shot here since the location was important to the scene.”

In a first of sorts, B-Town stars will feature on dance reality show, Dance Premier League - for free!
Five teams from the North, East, West, South and Central zones of India and one NRI team will compete. One star will represent each zone. A source confirms the development and reveals why the stars are joining the show for free, "Mostly to promote their future films - like Salman is coming for Main Aur Mrs Khanna. Akshay Kumar is keen to represent a zone to promote his upcoming film Blue. Talks are still on."

Danish Khan, VP Market-ing, Sony confirms, "There is no financial deal involved with the stars. It's our relationship with them and we provide the benefits for promoting their films." The Morani brothers of Cineyug are producing DPL. The show airs from October this year.


Salman Khan: He will root for the North DPL team alongwith Kapil Dev. The actor will travel to Delhi on September 9 for the final selection of the North team

Kareena Kapoor: Will represent the West Zone

Bipasha Basu: She will be the face of the East Zone will be represented by Bipasha Basu.

Arshad Warsi: He will cheer for the south.

Preity Zinta: The Bollywood stars for the Central and NRI Zones haven't yet been finalised. Preity Zinta is in talks for the Central Zone. It all depends on the dates of the stars and the dates of the zonal shows.

Katrina Kaif: had been approached for the NRI Zone but now she's not doing it. There are talks of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol also representing the NRI Zone to promote their film My Name Is Khan as the film is based around NRIs.
