Here is a good news. Salman Khan and Shahid Kapoor, who have been sharing cold rapport for a few years now, have finally decided to patch up. The duo hugged each other at the show 10 Ka Dum hosted by Salman.

Yes, Shahid and Rani Mukherjee participated in the game show 10 Ka Dum to promote their much-hyped film Dil Bole Hidippa. It is said that Salman and Shahid got along very well and hugged each other when they met.

It may be recalled that Shahid and Salman turned enemies after Shahid gave a piece of advice to his senior actor at Rockstars concert a few years ago. A furious Salman even tried to push Shahid out of the show. However, the duo seem to have mended their differences.

Well, it's looking like all the salman khan's foe in bollywood industry are becoming now friends like recently got a news that even Vivek Oberoi is trying to come in salman's show Dus Ka Dum and now Shahid Kapoor. I have an Advise for Shahrukh Khan this is a good time for you Shahrukh to come and ask sorry to Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan and i know that he will really forgive you.

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan is getting into television. She is going to host the chat show called Tere Mere Beach Mein. As if that's not enough, she now wants to turn a mediator. Yes, she wants to make Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan friends again.

Farah Khan feels that the fight between Salman and Shahrukh has been dragged for too long. She said that she wants to bridge the gap between them, as she loves both of them.

Interestingly, she is bringing both the actors to her show Tere Mere Beach Mein but they won't meet each other. Salman along with his mother Salma will be Farah's first celebrity guests. On the other hand, Shahrukh will appear in the final episode.

Farah said that they decided to make Salman as the first guest, as he had not been to any chat show. She added that they decided to feature Shahrukh at the end of the show to keep the audience hooked till the end.

Well, it maybe recalled that Salman and Shahrukh have been not in talking terms for quite sometime now. Their relationship worsened after getting into a public fight at Katrina Kaif's birthday last year.

Let's see if Farah will be able to bring the Khans together!

"You work with people you don't know. I don't know Shahrukh so I don't mind working with anybody," says Salman Khan on the prospect of working in a film with friend-turned-foe Shahrukh Khan. "If there's something good, I wouldn't have a problem that's if he doesn't have a problem. As long as those 100 days go off peacefully and don't have any problems," Salman adds. He rates Karan Arjun as one of his favourite films (where he created magic with Shahrukh Khan).

Salman is known for his big heart and helping nature. In a cut throat industry, he is quite a rarity. "I don't have any insecurity or jealousies that ye bada star banega and he is going to take over and we are going to be thrown out. I don't care about that stuff at all. Woh apni mehnat par hai, apne fans ke upar depend karta hai, how long you're going to be there. Fans are saying jab tak you want us to see you, we will see you," Salman says with a smile.

With the buzz around his next release Wanted gaining a huge momentum and the promos of Main Aur Mrs Khanna and London Dreams attracting attention, it is a unanimous perception that Salman Khan is all set to make a lethal comeback this year. In an interview Salman bared his heart out on his forthcoming films, prospects of a sequel of Andaz Apna Apna, the arduous task of maintaining his chiseled frame and lots more.

Bollywood heroines Aishwarya Bachchan and Katrina Kaif have one thing in common – Salman Khan. But their relationship with the actor contrasts like fire and water now, as Ash has cut off all connections with him ever since he married Abhishek Bachchan after an ugly break up. On the other hand, Katrina is currently seeing Salman. So, it's natural that Ash just can't take the news that Katrina has overtaken her.

It was reported that Aishwarya was stripped of her endorsement deal with a jewellery brand in favour of Katrina Kaif. Ash just can't take that. She clarified clear and loud that she was not dropped but voluntarily backed out following complications in the company.

Aishwarya said that she chose not to renew the contract with the jewellery brand. She added that she decided not to renew the endorsement deal after the brand she had contract with and another jeweller that came under the brand parted ways.

In fact, Aishwarya is furious at the reports that she has been dropped by various brands due to her age. She said that no one has ever dropped her. She added that she decided to stop endorsing the Cola brand post marriage, as her hubby Abhishek and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan were endorsing Cola rival brand.

Well, Aishwarya sounds sensible and logical. Maybe Katrina took up what she had dumped! What do you say?

Ajay Devgan as a rockstar strumming away the heated strings on stage is a hard act to swallow. Not for Vipul Shah who has cast Devgan as a rock-stadia musician in London Dreams. The gritty sweaty ambience, the riveting guitar licks, the angst- filled vocals and the screaming hysterical fans...Devgan goes through the rock motions in the film with élan.

Says Vipul, "So far we've only seen him in a sedate or comic image, never as someone who can cross the frontiers and do something outrageous." Vipul hasn't quite converted Devgan in an outrageously punky rock star. "No, not quite the reckless renegade. I've modeled Ajay's rock act on Bono, the Irish lead singer from U2. Bono was never your quintessential rock star. He had a more sober and a less wild image. When Ajay gets on stage in London Dreams, he replicates the curbed tempered-down rock-star's image of U2. Yes, I modeled him on Bono."

Interestingly, Salman Khan who started calling himself a 'rock star' even before the term was coined has no particular image in London Dreams. "He plays a more improvisational musician whereas Devgan plays a more professional rock musician," informs Vipul.

Vipul has already shot all the on-stage performances except one. "I wanted to see how the other stage performances look before shooting the last one. I was afraid they'd all look the same. But they've all come out differently. And Ajay looks like a rock star in the truest sense of the word."

Salman doesn't like Katrina wear small skirt

You may wonder what has gone wrong with Salman Khan when he said that he doesn't watch his girlfriend Katrina Kaif's films. In fact, his feedback would be invaluable but he has his own reason for shying away from her films. The reason is - he doesn't like to see her wearing sexy and small skirt.

Salman admitted that he doesn't watch Katrina's film. But why? He said that he once watched her film and she was wearing a small skirt, which he didn't quite like. Meanwhile, he is aware that he has to let it go sometimes. He is left with no option but to keep away from such films. He added that he could make out the genre of her film from the promos and stay away if necessary.

The reports that Salman was guiding Katrina was right as he admitted that he did help her initially. However, he said that he doesn't interfere in her work anymore, as she's grown up and has good scene of choice.

Salman said that Katrina used to ask him to check out a couple of her scenes due her problem with dubbing but he has stopped it now, as he doesn't want to be labelled as an aggressive boyfriend who barges into his girlfriend's sets.

Bollywood action hero Salman Khan is the latest cine star to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) gravy train and has expressed interest in buying a team.

Salman met IPL chairman and commissioner Lalit Modi here Tuesday and was briefed about the nitty-grittes of buying an IPL franchise.

The fourth season of the IPL in 2011 will see two new teams and they would be up for grabs through a bidding process later this year.

Modi said Salman is interested in buying an IPL team. "He has been interested to buy a team for quite some time, " Modi added.

"Today we had a brief meeting and I explained him how to go about with the task. I can assure you that Salman is not the only star who is thinking to buy a team. I have had around 28 queries and the list will surely go up, " he said.

IPL vice-president Niranjan Shah told that Salman is a serious buyer and will bid for one of the two new teams.

"Salman is a serious buyer and is contemplating to buy an IPL team. He came along with couple of his friends and was briefed by Lalit on the procedure to buy IPL franchise, " said Shah.

Shah went on to add that cities like Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Vishakhaptanam are in fray to be the hometown for new teams.

"It will be an open tender process and the city that gets the highest bidder will be the new IPL team, " he said.

Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla are the co-owners of Kolkata Knight Riders while Preity Zinta is also a joint owner of Kings XI Punjab. Shilpa Shetty and her boyfriend Raj Kundra also bought some stakes in Rajasthan Royals.

However a source close to Salman says, "He bumped into Lalit Modi at a hotel in Bandra and started chatting with him. It was an informal discussion. Salman asked him how he was, what's happening with the IPL and some other details but that was it.

Salman's brother Sohail Khan says, "It's not true. Salman is not buying any IPL team. Yesterday when he was shooting for Dus Ka Dum I called up bhai and asked him whether it was true and he denied it."

The industry is abuzz with rumours that Vipul Shah’s ambitious and anticipated musical London Dreams is a copy of 1984 Oscar-winning film Amadeus.

Milos Forman directed Amadeus revolves Austrian musicians Salieri and Mozart. Salieri is immensely jealous of Mozart’s talent. He thinks his own music is pure and Mozart’s compositions are outlandish. He tries to thwart Mozart’s musical attempts and even gets his hands on Mozart’s original work through his wife and passes it off as his own. In the end, his envy gets the better of him and he murders Mozart.

London Dreams, shot extensively in London, Paris and Punjab is the story of two childhood friends, played by Ajay and Salman who want to be rock stars. So they grow up and fulfill their dreams and both of them fall in love with Asin, the dancer of their band which is called London Dreams. It is about the rivalry between them and also about who finally gets the girl.

If London Dreams is a contemporary adaptation of Amadeus then, Ajay Devgan will play Salieri whose music is pure, Salman will play the outlandish Mozart and Asin will play Salman’s love interest. Shaka Laka Boom Boom starring Bobby Deol, Upen Patel, Celina Jaitley and Kangna Ranaut, was an awfully made take on Amadeus.

Forgetting and forgiving someone is something that doesn’t come easily to Salman Khan.

With his list of enemies increasing by the day – Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Shahid Kapoor...Sallu never leaves an opportunity to make snide remarks at them.

Recently, while flipping pages of a prominent fortnightly he came across a picture of SRK posing with his doctorate degree, and Salman promptly remarked, “Arre iss doctor ke paas patients ko bhejo aur ilaaj karao na,” (Send all the patients to Dr Shah Rukh Khan and get them treated).

Everyone saw it on ‘Dus Ka Dum’ how he got back at Shahid Kapoor who had tried to flaunt his dancing skills (Shiamak Davar style) and teach Sallu (known for his original dancing skills) a step or two during a rock concert about three years back. While matching steps with Karisma and Kareena on his show, and after performing on one of Shahid’s famous numbers, he grinned, “Don’t you think I dance better than Shahid?”

Probably it is with people like Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff that he gels more. They are of his kind, absolutely unpretentious – another quality that he likes in people. And hence there was a lot of firework when these two seniors of his appeared on ‘Dus Ka Dum’ recently.

“The younger generation should learn from these ‘cool’ guys who are not pretentious. They are frank and openly talk about the mistakes they made in the past. They don't fake when they say, ‘this was our life – this is what we used to do - drugs, alcohol, women, today we have left all that and learnt from our mistakes and experiences. “I have a lot of respect for these guys,” said Salman.

The Khans of Bollywood are doubtlessly secular but none can match Salman Khan when it comes to showing his zeal and zest for celebrating different festivals. Every year, the entire Khandaan does the Ganpati puja with devotion on Ganeshotsava, which begins on Sunday. Eid, Diwali and Christmas are celebrated with equal fervour at Khan’s Bandra residence.

In fact, Salman’s family is one of the most diverse and secular families in the industry. His father Salim Khan’s first wife Salma is a Maharashtrian Brahmin, while the second wife, Helen, is a catholic. Brother Arbaaz Khan is married to Malaika Arora who is half Hindu, half Catholic. Sister Alvira is married to Atul Agnihotri. Salman himself is dating Katrina Kaif, who has a Muslim father and a catholic mother.

Reports say this year as well, Salman and his family plan to celebrate the Ganpati festival and do the idol immersion at the Bandra coast. Not even a fatwa issued against Salman by a maulvi last year (for idol worship) has deterred the family from celebrating the festival. A fatwa was issued against Salman in 2007 as well.

“What is the locus standi of these people? Who are they to question people's religious beliefs? Why don't they issue such a 'fatwa' against terrorists and terrorism, which is un-Islamic? The clerics are talking nonsense,” Salman’s father had expressed his outrage on a television channel after the fatwa last year.

While speaking to a news network, Salman says he believes God is one, but the ways to God are many. This secular belief of Salman is even reflected in his paintings.

Here is an interesting news bite. When Salman Khan was busy taking a dig at Shahrukh Khan over his detention in the US, his Girlfriend Katrina Kaif took extra effort to get close to Shahrukh.

The news is doing the rounds that Shahrukh bumped into Katrina on his way from London to Mumbai after his infamous detention in the US. Sources said that Katrina left for Shahrukh as soon as the plane took off. Shahrukh being a thorough gentleman offered his seat to her and they chatted away.

Salman Khan will be seen dancing at his best to the tunes of Ganpati song titled 'Jalwa' in his forthcoming film Wanted. And why not, when the dancing demi-God Prabhu Deva himself has taken the charge, nothing but the best is expected. Prabhu Deva has turned director with this film.

“Although the film has dancing number in abundance, but Prabhu Deva chose to choreograph only this song along with Rajiv Surti, who has choreographed the other songs in the film,” confirms a reliable source. The source further adds, “The song is the depiction of Salman’s character in the film, but has a flavour of his real life as well. So, Salman was really charged up to give his best. This was the only song for which he rehearsed the steps days before the shoot, so that he could match up to Prabhu’s expectation; since Prabhu is known as a task master, Salman worked extra hard.”

The macho man himself confirmed about his new achievement. “This is the best song in the film; I am amazed to see the dance I have done. And I can’t believe it. (Yakeen hi nahin hota, ki aisa bhi ho sakta hai) Prabhu has not only choreographed, but is also featured in the song. He is simply fantastic and I am not all that great as compared to Prabhu Deva. Nevertheless, as per my dancing capacity, I feel I have done a good job,” Salman Khan says excitedly.

Whoa! Prabhu Deva and Salman Khan, a deadly combination. Wanted will be eagerly awaited by one and all. So we can safely say that if not the adrenalin pumping action then perhaps the disco moves might end up as the USP of Wanted, Wotsay Sallu Miyan?

Everybody knows that all is not well between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan but choreographer turned director turned chat show host Farah Khan has the guts to invite them to her chat show Tere Mere Beech Mein. Of course, the actors will not appear together.

Interestingly, Farah will start Tere Mere Beech Mein series with Salman Khan along with his mother Salma Khan and end it with Shahrukh.

Salman has not appeared on any television chat show till date and so too is his mother. In fact, Salma has not given any interview so far. But Farah said that it was not at all difficult to convince the mother and son to kick start her show. She makes Salman speak about being a 'mamma's boy' and Shahrukh as a henpecked husband.

Farah is also roping in celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Asin Thottumkal, Deepika Padukone, Abhay Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kareena Kapoor and cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Irrfan Pathan to her chat show. However, she has failed to bring former railway minister Lalu Prasad and singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya.

Salman Khan is pinning hopes on the movie Wanted to revive his career. He says he has worked very hard for the movie and is satisfied with what he has delivered. He shares with us much more about the movie and his career.

Salman you have done the action all by yourself in Wanted. Are you satisfied with the final result?
I am quite satisfied, as I have gone through a lot of training for this film and have stretched myself a lot. May it be dancing or action, I needed the training, and the outcome of it has been good, according to me.

Politicians are blaming actors on going to any extent for the publicity of their film. What is your comment on that?
Sorry I could not hear you… (Ever-diplomatic Sallu just refused to answer this question)

What is the reason for taking up this film?
The reason for taking up Wanted was the script and the jazba of working hard in it. Now if the film does not work, then I will stop working hard. As I know I have worked hard for this movie and believe that this is one of the best.

Your characters name Radhe Mohan, is the same as it was in your previous film Tere Naam. What similarity do these two characters have?
In Tere Naam, Radhe was a college boy who was hit badly and he goes mad at the end, but here Radhe is a man and no body can even touch him, as it will be very easy for him to bury them underground.

Can you elaborate on your character in the film?
I essay the role of a contract killer in the film, and if somebody gives a supari on your name I will kill you also (grins).

Asin was originally cast in this film. What was the reason of replacing her with Ayesha Takia?
We wanted Ayesha so we cast her in the film, and come on guys she was getting married too and so we were planning to release this film before her marriage. Asin got her share in London Dreams toh humne setting karli hai…

How different is this film from its Telugu version?
In this film there is humor, and different kind of action keeping in mind our audiences. It’s not the ditto copy of the Telugu version, but we have our own inputs too, which sets this film apart from the South movie.

This film has a lot of action and so did Ghajini, which was full with loads of action? So do you think this film will work on the same lines?
Ghajini worked not because of its action, but because of its romance. I have seen it and liked it also, but it was a different story altogether. This film is hero centric, and you will feel that I would like to be like Radhe Mohan after coming out of the theatre.

You have sung the song in Wanted. How was your experience?
It was like I was just dubbing some lines for the song, when suddenly the idea of singing the full song popped up in my mind. Sajid and Wajid took my voice to the studio, put some masala and presented it. So if you like the song you know the story behind my voice. (Laughs)

After a lull, Salman Khan, who didn't care to clarify on the alleged rift with girlfriend Katrina Kaif, is everywhere again. But why now? The reason is simple. He has come out of the cocoon, as his much-awaited film Wanted is releasing next month.

Yes, Salman is on a promotional spree these days. After doing a string of love story and comedy flicks, he is set to let his action speak through Wanted, which has Ayesha Takia Azmi as his ladylove. He is banking on this film to pull him back to the track, as he has not tasted success since Partner.

One of the highlights of Wanted produced by Boney Kapoor is Salman's voice. He has lend his voice to the title track of the film. Salman revealed that he thought of singing after dubbing a few lines. Sajid-Wajid laughed and said that he wouldn't be able to scale the high pitch. The music directors later took the song and added effects.

Salman is all praise for director Prabhu Deva, saying that he has done away the lethargic phase of his life. He said that he couldn't lift his legs beyond a certain point but Prabhu Deva made him kick hard and high. He has concentrated on his weak points in this film, and that is acting.

Watch out for this gangster film!

Salman Khan's beloved pet died early yesterday morning, six months after her companion, MySon. Salman Khan's beloved pet MyJaan died yesterday at an animal hospital in Parel. MyJaan had been suffering for the last couple of months. In June, she had been admitted to the same hospital. When she was admitted then, she was seriously sick and was given a separate room. At that time, when Salman had driven down MyJaan in the night, she was in a very critical. She subsequently recovered.

Says a source, "MyJaan had been ill for some time. Also, she had been missing MySon, another dog of Salman, ever since he passed away earlier this year. On Tuesday evening, Salman attended the music release of Boney Kapoor's Wanted and then rushed to shoot for Vipul Shah's London Dreams.

It was early yesterday morning that he was told of MyJaan's death. Salman rushed home, went to his Panvel farm to bury MyJaan and came back later that morning. Last evening, he was shooting for 10 Ka Dum but he was in a very low mood and couldn't concentrate. His normal cheerful demeanour was missing. Salman doted on his two dogs and never considered them as animals but like his family. Now with MyJaan's death he's devastated."

Farah Khan starts 'blogging' ahead of her TV show Tere Mere Beech Mein. She isn't computer-savvy and so, texts posts to the channel. They make sure it goes online
Salma and Salman Khan are the first guests on Farah Khan’s show!!

Farah Khan — who does not even own a laptop — has started blogging. Her blog is all about her chat show

— Tere Mere Beach Mein — which begins on this week.
It's not a first, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan too started blogging when they began shooting for their TV shows Khatron Ke Khiladi and 10 Ka Dum, respectively.

In her candid style, the director says, "I am not a computer- savvy person and don't even possess an email ID, so my blogging means writing on scraps of paper or texting my thoughts to someone in the channel, who then puts it up on my blog." She says she might not necessarily post her thoughts once a day but as many times as she feels the need to express herself on something. "It can be daily to a couple of times a week. I have been approached by many to blog before but I have always resisted it. I am blogging now because it fits in beautifully with the show's concept and it was something that excited me. My blog will be an interactive one, mostly talking about my experiences with the stars I know who have come on the show." Salman Khan and his mom Salma are appearing in the first episode which will air this weekend.

Excerpts from Farah Khans first blog

My first Blog!! First of all I cant believe I am blogging. I, who am , "technologically challenged" -(I guess retard would be too politically incorrect) - who doesnt even have an e-mail id (yes its true) - the excuse being that I dont have time to read or write e-mails, the truth being that I cant open the computer, or is the term Enter?

Anyways, doing a huge show for one of the biggest TV Channels on earth means that contractually even computer illiterates like we have to toe the line and get savvy with the new world. Yes guys though this blog is to plug my chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein on Star Plus, starting Aug 23, 2009 at 9 PM.(See how cleverly I have plugged in the info) I do promise that I will make it as entertaining and honest as I make my films. You see I have a phobia or boredom - I term it pakaophobia.

Mumbai, (ANI): Bollywood actor Salman Khan is keeping his finger crossed for success of upcoming film Wanted. Produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Prabhu Deva, the film features Ayesha Takia Azmi opposite Salman Khan apart from actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Asseem Merchant.

"I have done lot of love stories, lot of comedies, many of them were not appreciated enough. In this film, I had the zest to work hard. I have done that. So, let's see if it works and if it doesn't," he said.

The film is about Radhe, played by Salman Khan, who is a hardcore gangster, a sharpshooter and works for a dreaded Mafia. He then finds love
when the young and pretty Jhanvi, played by Ayesha Takia Azmi, professes her love for him.

Khan said the film is a combination of all the ingredients in good quantity and they all had to undergo good deal of training for it. "Our films are usually a combination of all things in small proportions. Little bit dance, little bit romance and little bit comedy. But this film has everything in huge proportions, so had to train hard," said Khan.

Khan has lent his voice to the title track of the film, composed by composer duo Sajid-Wajid. He had last sung for the film Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya in 1998.

The world knows that Salman Khan mentored Katrina Kaif and acted as her godfather for her in Bollywood. But the truth is that Ayesha Shroff, actor Jackie Shroff’s wife did all the hard work to pave Katrina's way into the industry. Like many other celebrities in the tinsel town Katrina has completely forgotten Ayesha and never bothered to keep in touch with her.

After remaining silent for years Ayesha has revealed some of Katrina's unknown secrets. Biggest of all Katrina Kaif's real name is Katrina Turquotte. Since the English surname was difficult to pronounce they changed it to Kaif after even thinking of naming her Katrina Kazi. Ayesha added that the name on Katrina's passport when she came to India was Katrina Turquotte.

Katrina always maintained that her Kaif surname was due to her Kashmiri father but Ayesha did not give much weight to her claim. Ayesha also revealed that she was the first person to make Katrina aware of Bollywood and it was only later that she came in contact with beau Salman Khan. Ayesha though is a shade upset as Katrina never acknowledged her role and did not even bother to keep in touch with her.

Bollywood stars may have been sympathetic towards Shahrukh Khan after his detention at the Newark International Airport but Salman dismissed the event as 'no big deal.' This was nothing unexpected as the two Khans have been in a state of war since Katrina Kaif's birthday bash more than a year ago. Salman's comments have however not gone down too well with the Muslim community who are up in arms against the actor.

A few Muslim groups felt Salman's comments to be very derogatory. They even protested outside his House in Mumbai demanding an apology from the actor. They argued that in such Time when majority of Muslims were being treated as terrorists in US, Salman should have stood firmly behind Shahrukh forgetting his personal grudges. They added that it was a matter concerning the entire community and both the stars should not cling to their prejudices against each other.

Ironical it may sound but the same people who are standing behind King Khan were up in arms against the actor two months back. They had protested against Shahrukh and even issued a fatwa for his alleged comments in the Time N Style magazine. Shahrukh was accused of using unparliamentary language against the Prophet.

Salman Khan has the physique that every man would envy. Apart from his looks and acting talent, he is also known for getting into fights with his peers. But this angry man is damn scared of a woman – she is not Katrina Kaif but his mother Salma Khan.

Salman revealed on Farah Khan's soon-to-be-launched celebrity chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein that his mother still gives him tight slaps in spite of reminding her that she shouldn't beat him, as he is grown up now. He added that her slaps are so tight that he sometimes wonder where they come from.

His mom Salma revealed that Salman was very naughty as a boy. She added that he used to get the most beating and still does. Ironically, she loves him very much and still stays up waiting for him at the window till he returns home. She joked that they don't need a watchman, as she keep guarding all night.

Bollywood biggest Cold War needs just small sparks for new flares. Both Shahrukh and Salman miss no chance of taking a dig at each other. Just when the entire Bollywood stayed shocked to Shahrukh Khan's detention at the Newark International Airport Salman said there was no big deal about it. Salman said that it was a normal security procedure and he had faced it several times in his life. He added that the security measure was actually a very Good thing.

Salman also said that if the detention was considered necessary by US Customs and Border Protection anybody flying to the United States must cooperate with their authorities. Trying to prove his point Salman stressed on the fact that there had been no major attacks since 9/11 because of the stringent security measures adopted in US. Comeon Sallu Mia there are better occasions to take a dig as the question here is not Shahrukh along but all Indians flying to US.

In the late 90s, each of the three Khans tried flexing their vocal chords as a singer. Aamir Khan saw huge success coming his way through 'Aati Kya Khandala' (GHULAM - 1998), Shah Rukh Khan's 'Apun Bola' (JOSH- 2000) is heard till date while Salman Khan too came up with a 'tapori' hit in 'Chandi Ki Daal Par' (HELLO BROTHER - 1999).

Now a decade after he was last heard as a singer, Salman Khan is back behind the mike for his upcoming release WANTED. The men who have made it possible? Sajid & Wajid, the composers, who are pretty much a regular when it comes to a Salman starrer. Staying true to the mood and theme of the film, the song is titled 'Most Wanted Track'.

'The song is indeed a special part of WANTED. We wanted to make something 'dhamakedaar' for Salman bhai and the idea was to have a track that gives audiences a taste of what the film is all about. This is why you not just hear Salman bhai mouthing a few dialogues from the film but also singing in the true sense', says Wajid.

The number has quite a few Salman Khan dialogues in the film that again aim at the gallery. It in fact begins with now-famous dialogue 'Ek Baar Jo Maine Commitment Kar Di.....' and packs in a lot more such one liners that are bound to keep the masses and lovers of action cinema happy.

It's the sound of 'Most Wanted Track' which is currently played along with the teasers of the film. If these 60 seconds are any indication then this Boney Kapoor production is pretty much a successful film in the offering. Courtesy the zany sound, two major aspects of the film are highlighted - a) Salman Khan and b) 'desi' action that sets the tone for the lovers of hardcore masala action to make a beeline for the film all over again.

It seems Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan don't want a repeat of Katrina Kaif's last year's birthday party, where they got into an ugly fight. They averted bumping into each other this time around when both of them attended the 25th wedding anniversary of Ramesh Taurani, head of TIPS Films.

Shahrukh was the first to enter the five star hotel where the celebration was on. Sohail Khan was also present at the time. After wishing Mr. & Mrs. Taurani and hanging around for a few minutes, he left the scene. Interestingly, Salman entered from the backdoor as soon as Shahrukh left.

Adding more drama to the event, Vivek Oberoi, who was having a gala time, rushed out of the party on realising that Salman had arrived. It is said that he even pushed his driver aside and drove off hurriedly.

It may be recalled that Shahrukh and Vivek are Salman's bitter enemies. Vivek became Salman's target after publicly speaking about him after falling in love with his then girlfriend Aishwarya Rai
(Now Aishwarya Bachchan). Things between Salman and Shahrukh too turned sour after getting into a brawl at Katrina's birthday last year.

Salman has always been vocal about his displeasure for Vivek in his interviews even till now. Vivek on the other hand has been trying in vain to seek forgiveness from him but to no avail. So it has not been surprising that Vivek is nowadays avoiding coming face to face with Salman Khan at events and parties. The Tuesday August 11th late night party of producer Ramesh Taurani celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary was yet another example.

We saw Vivek rush immediately to the front main entrance to leave the party when Salman Khan arrived. Vivek was so much in hurry to flee the venue that when his driver arrived he hoped in the car and told his driver to shift to the next seat. But just when he was getting into the car when we asked him why has he been strategically planning his exits to avoid Salman's entries to parties, Vivek diplomatically replied, "Oh is it so? No I don't think so. There is nothing like that." After saying which he kept grinning mischievously

Around six years back, Vivek Oberoi took a panga with Salman Khan by making their personal matter public in front of the entire National media. As fate would have it, Vivek's career literally nosedived since then and till date he is struggling to find a good stronghold in the industry whereas newcomers who came after him like Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and even Neil Nitin Mukesh today are at a much better standing than him in Bollywood.

Salman Khan fans will get a treat of their lifetime as our very own Sallu bhai is all set to sing after a gap of 10 years. Composer duo Sajid Wajid have made the Bollywood superstar sing the song 'Most Wanted Track' in Boney Kapoor's Wanted. The song is the most electrifying one in the album and sets the tone for the movie. The composer duo said that song will be a proper one and Salman won't just mouth a few dialogues.

This is not the first time Salman Khan will be trying his hand at playback singing. He had done it in movies like Yuvraaj and Chal Mere Bhai but his only proper song still remains to be 'Chandi ki daal par from the 1999 movie Hello Brother. 'Most Wanted Track is currently being used for the film's promotion and if 60 seconds are anything to go by Salman Khan has done a fair enough job with playback singing.

Arvind Jain, Sallu's special fan, who met the actor on his last visit, and was looking forward to his second visit, passes away

Salman Khan's London-based special fan Arvind Jain has lost his battle with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The 12-year-old, who had been battling with the ailment since birth, passed away on Sunday.

Final days
On a visit to Mumbai last year, the youngster had expressed a desire to meet his screen idol 'Salman. It was on his wishlist. He was well aware that time was ticking for him. Even though Arvind landed up at the actor's Bandra home unannounced, Salman had warmly welcomed him as reported ('A dream come true'; Hitlist, January 7, 2008).

It is learnt that for the past month Arvind was in hospital as his condition had deteriorated leading to several complications. Though extremely weak, he remained cheerful. He also had to have his foodpipe removed. Last week, his health took a turn for the worse and his heart stopped working.

Dream come true
"I could not believe it when Salman greeted me. It was a dream come true. I did not know what to tell him but he made us extremely comfortable," a bashful Arvind had said after meeting his hero. He was accompanied by his parents Mridula and Ashok Jain and elder sister Sushma. As he was confined to the wheelchair, Hindi films was a big source of comfort for him. And Salman Khan was his favourite actor.

Ask me anything!
When he came face-to-face with the star, he was initially tongue-tied. But gradually and thanks to Salman being so chilled out, he could actually start a conversation with his idol. The topic of conversation was Salman's films and his paintings. The star had told Arvind he could ask him everything he wanted to know about him. Besides Salman and Katrina Kaif, Salman's sisters Alvira and Arpita, his mother Salma as well as Malaika Arora Khan were present.

Says New Delhi-based family friend Lalit Bisht, "Arvind and his family were planning to come down to India this year. Arvind had fond memories of his trip last year."

Arvind, who was confined to a wheelchair, could not stand or sit without support and spent all his life in and out of hospitals. Yet, Arvind's family wanted him to live life to the fullest.

Let us make things clear Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan aren't starring together in a movie. But Salman will soon share the screen space with brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. Ramesh Taurani had plans to remake Amar Akbar Anthony with the Khan brothers but there were rumours that the project had been shelved after the failure of God Tussi Great Ho. There were theories that the audience didn't appreciate the brothers together.

Brushing aside all rumours Sohail Khan has said that the movie is still on and they are expected to start shooting by the year end or early next year. Salman will be playing Amitabh's role while Arbaaz will playing Amar (Vinod Khanna) and Sohail was playing Akbar (Rishi Kapoor). On Monday night, the shooting of Anil Sharma's Veer in Pune was cancelled at the last minute because of the wide spread of swine flu in the city. Last week, the schedule of Karan Johar's Qurbaan too was postponed because of the rising cases of flu in the city. Says a source, "It was a three-night shoot which required almost the entire star cast consisting of Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Zarine Khan, Jackie Shroff and Puru Rajkumar."

Producer Vijay Galani consulted Salman Khan and decided to call off the shoot as a precautionary measure. Galani confirms, "Yes, we decided to cancel the Pune schedule because of the swine flu. We have been reading about it but we were going ahead with our shoot. We were to leave yesterday afternoon for Pune and shoot for five nights till August 15 at a college campus. We had booked two options — the Pune Engineering College and the Agricultural College campus but yesterday morning we took a call not to go there. My crew had been telling me for the last few days to cancel the shoot. Salman said it's up to me. So for the safety of my cast, crew, and technicians, I have cancelled the shoot."

Galani is now looking for a similar location in Mumbai, "I will try to manage the Pune schedule in Mumbai. I have to look after the safety and interests of my cast, technicians and crew.” Director Anil Sharma says, "We decided it is better not to go as our was a big unit and it would attract huge crowds. The Pune administration is busy with the swine flu and it would be unfair for them to look after us too. We didn't want to take an unnecessary risk and have our unit exposed to swine flu. Salman also wanted it to be cancelled as he said this is the right decision."

The Independence Day Special of 10 Ka Dum is truly very special– it is for the people, by the people and with the real avaam of India. Celebrity contestants bring in the glamour quotient, but it is the common man and women who bring in the spirit of life and nobody enjoys it more than Salman Khan.

This week along with the vibrant Meenatai meet Deepak Pangare, a bright young man who is proud of his profession– he is a dabbawala. To support him came along a whole lot of his ilk from the 5000 strong Dabbawala Association… Presenting Salman with the trademark Nehru cap he said- “This is the pride of every dabbawala– in fact, it is the cover for the computerized brain under it!” he said to thunderous applause.

“We work with clock-work precision and have a record of never being late. In fact, I ride my bicycle as fast as an auto!” he said with pride. “But be careful,” advised Salman– “these auto-drivers have a way of cutting lanes sharply without warning!”Of course who knows better than Salman– he has enough experience on the roads when he rides the bicycle and the auto rickshaw too!

Lovers-turn-foes Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai (Now Aishwarya Bachchan) almost bumped into each other on Sunday. In fact, they get too close to each other that they just couldn't go about freely.

It so happened both Salman and Aishwarya were shooting at Mehboob Studios all day for their respective films. Salman was shooting for his much-talked about film Veer while Ash was shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish. Adding more drama to the aura, Ranbir Kapoor, who was linked with Salman's girlfriend Katrina Kaif, was also there shooting for Yash Raj Films' Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.

The unit of Veer was worried that Salman might lose his cool and create havoc at the studio. But to their surprise, Salman made sure that everything was alright. He stayed away from the sets of Guzaarish to avoid his old flame. He didn't even speak to Sanjay Leela Bhansali though he has good rapport with him. However, he was spotted chatting with Ranbir for a long time. It is said that they even had lunch together.

Salman has a heart of gold, and this, we must say is proven time and time again. The actor while shooting for Boney Kapoor’s ‘Wanted’ at Bandra Fort seemed to recognize a beggar on the street. He went up to him, and asked him if he was the same person who used to sell kites at Band Stand, Bandra a long time ago. The beggar indeed was!

“Apparently, Salman Khan used to buy kites from him as a child. He hadn’t seen him for years, and now suddenly after 20 years to have spotted him in this state...,” says the source, adding, “But Salman is a very generous guy. He gave him Rs. 25,000 and bought him some food and clothes. The beggar was eternally grateful.” Salman Khan has grown up at Bandra’s Band Stand. And flying kites on the rocks wasn’t unusual for him.

The actor has always done his bit for the underprivileged. He runs his own NGO, Salman Khan Foundation, and the proceeds of all his paintings go towards social causes. “Salman Khan does a lot for children, slum children, orphans and the handicapped, but he’s the kind of guy who doesn’t like to speak about these things. He quietly does his bit for society, but unfortunately, he’s reprimanded more as the ‘Bad boy of Bollywood’ than applauded as Mr. Nice Guy!” shrugs the unit member.

The air between Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan seems to be getting cooler. Last week Shahrukh had referred to Salman as his friend while hosting the IIPM Quiz. Now there are signs if their rekindling friendship with Salman's lady love Katrina Kaif starring opposite Shahrukh under the Yash Raj Films banner. The movie will be directed by Aditya Chopra or New York director Kabir Khan.

The film is expected to go on the floors by early next year. This will be the Shahrukh's first movie with the sizzling Katrina Kaif. She remains the only big contemporary name Shahrukh hasn't worked with. YRF had plans to cast Shahrukh and Katrina in a movie for quite some time but the spat between Shahrukh and Salman during Katrina's birthday bash last year had put the project on hold.

It's tough being a superstar. Ask Salman Khan who has been shooting like a maniac for 10 Ka Dum these days. But it seems the poor fellow is having serious trouble trying to shoot for his dream project, Veer.

Sources close to Salman Khan tell us that the superstar has been trying hard to balance his schedule between Dus Ka Dum and Veer. Initially when he was shooting for Veer, there were plans of taking 10 Ka Dum off air completely.

However being the gentleman that Salman Khan is, he reassured the makers of the show and kept his promise. As a result 10 Ka Dum has even got a 13-episode extension.

In the process though, the shooting for Veer has been stalled for quite some time now. Unit members of the film have now begun to worry about the movie since it's already been delayed for quite some time now.

Salman Khan's presence on the sets is impertinent since he has written the script. A source tells us that Salman Khan has been shooting for the film at Mumbai's Mehboob Studios since August 6.

It will be interesting to see how Salman Khan manages his dates for 10 Ka Dum as well as Veer because he cant afford to delay both the projects that demand his presence on the sets.

Filmmaker Karan Johar is certainly one of the coolest guys in the Indian film industry. He is unstoppable when he opens his mouth and faces camera even better than the actors. But there is one thing that bothers this cool guy – the Khan War.
Karan said that the stories on the fight between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan might be right but a lot of it is not. He feels that the media makes a mountain out of a mole hill. He revealed that he is bothered when the media exaggerates stories, as people tend to believe everything that is written.

Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are no longer enemies if the former's words are anything to go by. The two Khans are said to be bitter enemies and have got into brawl a few times but Shahrukh has surprised many by referring to Salman as his friend.

Speaking at the start of the quiz DARE ’09 at the IIPM campus, he revealed that he equated poverty to failure at one point of his life, as he didn’t want to be poor. So, he ended up doing films that his counterparts rejected. He said that he did Deewana, a film that Armaan Kohli turned down, did Baazigar that his friend Salman had refused, acted in Darr that Aamir Khan turned it down and did Dil Aashna Hai after Saif Ali Khan rejected it.

It maybe recalled that Shahrukh and Salman had a public fight on Katrina Kaif's birthday last year. So much has been written about them since the incident happened but they have chosen to keep their silence.

It looks like the Khans are now ready to forgive and forget the past!
